Portfolio Assessment I
This is a slide from a PowerPoint that is part of a portfolio assessment done on a child in third grade. The purpose of this assessment was to show this child's unique progress and document learning by showing change or growth over time in each developmental and content area. This sample shows the child's growth on a unit in Social Studies.

Lessons
Word Study Lesson
This lesson is an interactive PowerPoint I implemented in my third grade placement. The objective of this lesson was to enhance the students' spelling skills while integrating technology.
Guided Reading
This is part of a lesson plan that was used for a guided reading lesson in my first grade placement.
Sorting Sentences
This is a picture of a lesson done in my third grade placement. Students worked in pairs and were given a stack of cards to sort into two different categories. Students had to work together to decide whether they would put a card in the "Sentence" category or "Not a Sentence" category.
Counting with Unifix Cubes
This is a picture of first grade students working on counting using unifix cubes.
Toss the Chips
This is a math lesson implemented in an inclusion kindergarten class. The children had to toss chips that were blue on one side and yellow on the other side. After, they had to record how many landed on each side. For higher level students, they added the numbers and wrote number sentences.
