About Me

My name is Emily LeMaire, and I am a graduate from LSU in Early Childhood Education. I have successfully completed the LSU PreK-3 Program and am starting to seek a job where I can start my life long dream of educating young children. I believe being a teacher is a calling, and I definitely have that calling. I have a passion for educating young children and truly care about their well-being and development.

My personal teaching philosophy is always changing as I learn new things and encounter new experiences. Yet, one thing remains the same, the child comes first. Then, as a professional I have a duty to respect and work alongside the families of my students, colleagues, and community.

Once I begin teaching, I intend to establish a challenging learning environment where students and their families feel welcome, can ask questions, and learn new things. I will instill a sense of community in my classroom by emphasizing the importance of working together and getting along. It is important for children to understand that each person is special and contributes in their own way. I also aim to have a classroom where there are high standards and goals by providing a variety of engaging opportunities that are individualized to help each student meet those high expectations. I hope to challenge my students, to push their thinking and exploring in order to enhance their learning and development. I plan to involve family and community members in my students' education as much as possible. I will continue to learn more about my practice through different professional development opportunities and collaboration with fellow colleagues. Overall, my goal as a teacher is to provide a positive, caring classroom community that challenges and motivates students to succeed as individuals and as members of a community.
